The person I care for & myself have cereal. It has to be a quick breakfast as I have the school run to do. I have granola or muesli. I like porridge too but don't always have time to make it : (

Mine - porridge made with Irish oats, dried berries and seeds to top in winter. Yoghurt and muesli in summer

Husband's - bacon, scrambled egg and beans (OK, because he's a farmer and burns up the calories) or (disgusting in my view) a whole peperoni pizza - well he is American and they eat strange things!

Mum (whom I care for) same as me or toast and marmalade.

Tea for us all and orange juice or milk.

Hi Jenni,

I admire your husband's style. Though sounds like you have the right idea, sounds like a really great way to get started in the morning.

Best wishes,

Sam

bacon sandwich.... i know its strange as much weight as i want to loose  i still eat bacon sandwiches for breakfast....

if only there was a bacon sandwich diet.

I bought a new instant porridge last week made by the makers of a famous make of museli. It only takes 2 mins to microwave & is lovely. I bought the raisin & apple flavour but they do others I think. As it's half term this week I will have time to treat myself to porridge : )

1/ i have a corned beef sandwich tomato and a stick of celery

2/ a large bowl of porridge with dried fruit mixed in

3/a banana  a pear and an apple

i have these in different orders starting at 5am right up to 12noon spreading them out between 2 to 3 hours

Thanks Peter, yes I am pleased they have quick microwave porridge! Especially as there is snow & ice on the ground here at the moment!

My husband and I have porridge, mine made with rice milk, and a teaspoon of honey. My son (40) who has Learning Difficulties stopped eating breakfast although when he stays with us if I do him some he will eat it.  We are also foster carers and encourage our children/young people to have something, often when they first come they dont eat breakfast so might start with just a banana or yogurt and then move onto cereals (not chocolate ones!) or granary toast.

Some really healthy breakfasts all round!

Porridge sounds a favourite, as Mazza points out, a particularly good choice with the cold weather we have been having.

Does anyone lay out breakfast the night before, or do you all find it fairly easy to arrange in the morning?

Thanks,

Sam

Yes Sam I lay it out the night before, so much easier on a school day especially. I have only just started doing it but it does make all the difference.

i just get up and get what i want

No do it in the morning as dont know what I fancy till I am up.  Had chopped apple blueberries and 0% greek yogurt this morning. With ginger tea home made, I do a full flask so it last me awhile. anne
